We can't do it Alone!

Paula's Kitchen Mission is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering our community. We can't do it alone. Here are a few other local organizations that may be able to help that are located in Atlanta, Georgia.

Rehousing & Rental Assistance

 

  • Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHV) via Atlanta Housing: for those who are homeless, at risk, fleeing domestic violence, or recently homeless. Referred through coordinated entry atlantahousing.org.
     
  • Rapid Re‑Housing and Prevention:
     
  • Hope Atlanta – helps secure permanent housing, special needs housing, case management dca.georgia.gov+15hopeatlanta.org+15southernusa.salvationarmy.org+15.
     
  • Nicholas House – “Homeless to Homes”, “Home Again” programs: rent subsidies and deposit assistance with case management nicholashouse.org.
     
  • Buckhead Christian Ministry, Midtown Assistance Center, Decatur Cooperative Ministries – emergency rental & utility support shelterlistings.org+2nicholashouse.org+2handsonatlanta.org+2.

Supportive & Permanent Housing

 Partners for HOME and Atlanta Housing Authority: build permanent supportive housing units (e.g., Appartment complexes, micro‑homes) atlantahousing.org+7partnersforhome.org+7apnews.com+7. 

Drop‑In Centers & Outreach

 

  • HOPE Atlanta Outreach Center: for women and children, operates Tues–Thurs mornings hopeatlanta.org.
     
  • CHRIS 180 SPOT & Promise Center: mobile intake centers for youth 18–24 kippatl.org+15dca.georgia.gov+15hopeatlanta.org+15.
     
  • Continued outreach through Intown Cares, Mercy Care, Frontline Response. These connect chronically homeless individuals to mental health or trafficking support nicholashouse.org+6partnersforhome.org+6axios.com+6.t.

Assessment & Referral

 

  • Gateway Center serves as entry point for single adults, couples, and veterans.
     
  • Fulton County Homeless Assessment Centers (North & South Fulton): for those outside city limits; offer assessment, diversion, placement fultoncountyga.gov.
     
  • United Way 2‑1‑1: one-call referral to rent, shelter, food, healthcare, legal and more nicholashouse.org.
     

Food, Hygiene & Legal Aid

 

  • Atlanta Mission, Salvation Army, HOPE Atlanta provide meals, hygiene, laundry.
     
  • Hands On Atlanta partners:
     
  • Georgia Legal Services: legal aid if income ≤200% FPL shelterlistings.org+1atlantamission.org+1.
